Medical Office Assistant

Project-based Office Procedures & Advanced Computer Concepts

A trained Medical Office Assistant requires training in a wide variety of medical and business skills. There are a variety of medical job settings and titles to match the skills taught. The health profession is quickly becoming one of Rochester’s top employers. Skills taught in this program are transferable anywhere in the country.

Course content will focus on professionalism in the medical environment, medical terminology, medical assisting techniques, and coding/billing. In addition, this program will include customer service/communication techniques, phone/email etiquette, general office skills (keyboarding, filing, copying, scanning, faxing), as well as professional development skills (ethics, stress, anger & time management).

Next Start Dates:  September 19

Class Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. 

                        600 hours, 20 weeks, includes a 4-week work-based experience

Tuition: $6800 (books included)
