SECTION 3 - PLANNING
NEEDS ASSESSMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE PLAN
3.1   Provide a summary describing the processes used to assess needs in the development of the Plan of Service. Each year we survey our Member librarians for their needs and how we are doing with providing them services. We used this data. Also, we spent the past two years discussing this at our Council Meetings where we reviewed one to two domains at each council meeting.  
3.2   Identify the groups involved in development of the Plan of Service and each group's role. The primary group involved was the SLS Council which is made up of representation from each district, a nonpublic representative, our public library, an academic library, our 3Rs, and BOCES SLS staff. We then sent this out to all librarians and administrators who work with libraries in our region.  
EVALUATION
3.9   Describe the information to be collected in order to evaluate and determine members' satisfaction with the system's services. Each year we survey our Member librarians for their needs and how we are doing with providing them services. We used this data. Also, we spent the past two years discussing this at our Council Meetings where we reviewed one to two domains at each council meeting.

REVISION PROCESS

The Monroe 2 Orleans BOCES School Library System is committed to providing our member libraries the support, training, and tools they need to be instructional leaders in their schools and districts.
