Instead of a search box and buttons, Visual Search presents groups of pictorial action buttons that perform pre-configured searches. Visual Searches can be advanced/power searches, launch webpages, open category lists or open public resource lists.

There are over forty pre-configured buttons provided by Follett. If these buttons do not meet your needs, they can be reconfigured, deleted or new ones may be added. There are many possibilities for configuring buttons and groups. Librarians have created Visual Searches for Fountas and Pinnell levels, Decades projects, genre searches and special themes. Contact the Library Automation Team for examples of existing searches and assistance in defining your Visual Search.
