Mid-West RBE-RN holds RIPE event May 7 for parents of English Language Learners
Career and Technical Education Center, Department for Exceptional Children, Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development, Gifted & Talented Education
The Regional International Parent Event (RIPE) will be held on Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the School of the Arts. All parents of English Language Learners are invited to attend. The conference is free; childcare is provided; interpreters will be present. Breakfast and lunch are included. Science Lab hosts student researchers seeking cures for cancer

Two teams of students worked closely together, examining the structural characteristics of unknown plants and seeds. They used their five senses, magnifying glasses and microscopes. Through various scientific tests, they looked for evidence of promising enzymes within plant extracts.
