Monroe 2 Orleans BOCES School Library System’s 2005-2007 LSTA Project
The Monroe 2 Orleans BOCES School Library System was awarded a two-year Library Services and Technology Act Grant to assess the relationship of member school libraries to the New York State English Language Arts Standards and ELA tests. As part of the project, participating school librarians will identified core library and school data sets, collect and analyze data and develop a data presentation .Key components of the project include staff development in the areas of English Language Arts, collaboration, data-driven decision-making and marketing. The focus of the project is to improve library services to students and teachers in the area of English Language Arts and to raise awareness on the part of the education community of the positive impact of school librarians in student academic achievement.
This web page will be use to post collaboratively developed tools, share project generated documents and disseminate information as needed by project participants.
Supported by Federal Library Services and Technology Act fund, awarded to the New York State Library by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services.
