Description:
This committee's purpose is to support the NYSED Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages (OBEWL) in a revision process of the State's LOTE Standards, also referred to as World Languages. To ensure that the revised standards reflect the views of educators and stakeholders from throughout New York State, OBEWL will convene Regional Standards Review Committees* that will represent various parts of the State with a wide range of expertise including classroom teachers, building leaders, district level leaders, parents, students, higher education faculty, world language organization representatives and business and community members. *These meetings are open to committee members who have applied and have been selected by NYSED OBEWL.
