School Information Services

SIS establishes and maintains mutually beneficial relationships between school districts and the public to encourage and promote support of schools and foster a positive environment for education.


The award-winning SIS team provides communications planning, materials development (newsletters, brochures, special purpose publications, etc.), media relations, and special services (video production, web content development, communications training, and special event planning).


Communications Planning

  • Developing a year-long strategic communications plan
  • Assisting districts with determining and meeting communication needs and goals
  • Building support for budget votes and bond referendums
  • Developing strategies for crisis communications

Materials Development

  • Writing and producing district newsletters and special publications (i.e., brochures, flyers, posters)
  • Photographing events and programs for news media and district publications

Media Relations

  • Preparing news releases and news tips
  • Fielding media queries
  • Coordinating media visits to schools
  • Maintaining a comprehensive data base of reporters and media outlets
  • Compiling monthly print and video clips
