Who does Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES serve?
Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES is an educational agency serving nine school districts in the New York State counties of Monroe and Orleans: Brockport, Churchville-Chili, Gates Chili, Greece, Hilton, Holley, Kendall, Spencerport and Wheatland-Chili.
What do we offer our students?
The Department for Exceptional Children offers half-day and full-day classroom preschool programs, along with elementary, middle school, high school and transition classes limited to six, eight or twelve students supported by a teacher and paraprofessional(s). Our programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of children with developmental, intellectual, learning, physical, emotional and/or behavioral disabilities, as well as children with autism and medical needs.

Our students have special needs in one or more of these categories:

They are in our classes because they need a smaller, more personalized environment offering special materials and techniques in order to learn and to reach their full potential. Most classes are located in school buildings in the local school districts, so the students may interact and integrate with their peers and participate in typical school routines and activities. In addition, some special center-based sites accommodate multiple classes.
