In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection in the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, facilities operations will be geared toward meeting social distancing requirements and cleaning frequently touched spaces regularly. In carrying out projects or tasks supporting infection control, requirements will be met for changes associated with building spaces. Plans for changes or additions to facilities that require review by the Office of Facilities Planning (OFP) will be submitted to comply with the requirements of the 2020 New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code (BC) and the State Energy Conservation Code.
BOCES 2 will complete the 2020 Building Condition Survey and Visual Inspection in August 2020.
BOCES 2 will conduct the Lead-in Water Testing by October 2020.
All existing and new Alcohol-based Hand-Rub Dispensers installed at BOCES 2 are in accordance with FCNYS 2020 Section 5705.5.
If dividers are installed in any BOCES 2 facility, the BOCES will ensure the submission of detailed floor plans to OFP for review.
This Reopening Plan does not include plans for new building construction and/or temporary quarter projects; new leasing of facilities or the temporary or permanent use of tents.
BOCES 2 ensures that the existing and/or altered number of toilet and sink fixtures meets the minimum standards of the BCNYS.
BOCES 2 ensures that each building has one drinking fountain per one hundred occupants. The bubbler has been disabled from each drinking fountain so that only those with bottle fillers maintain operation. As an alternate source, portable drinking dispensers will also be provided.
BOCES 2 maintains an Emergency Management System to ensure adequate, code required ventilation.
All project submissions only dedicated to “COVID-19 Reopening” will be labeled as such.
The use of any plastic separators will comply with the 2020 BCNYS Section 2606.
