NYSED Projects & Grants

Periodically, Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES is awarded grants from the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) to produce resources or professional learning opportunities open to staff of all regions. Below are projects and/or grants that the BOCES 2 ITS team is currently working on.

Teaching in Remote Learning Environments (TRLE)

Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, in conjunction with Monroe One, is participating in a NYSED grant providing professional development learning opportunities to all school staff in these six core areas:
  • Culturally Responsive Education
  • ELLs and MLLs (provided by RBERN)
  • Families as Partners
  • Social and Emotional Learning
  • Shifting to Teaching Online
  • Students with Disabilities
Even as teachers transition to hybrid and in-person learning, many of the technology tools utilized during emergency remote teaching will continue to be used. These six core areas will remain relevant to our districts and classrooms throughout the 2021-22 school year.

To find all of the offerings associated with the TRLE grant, search “TRLE” in the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Frontline Catalog or view this document. To find more information about the TRLE Grant, visit the NYSED website.
