Meet the Instructors of the Culinary Arts Program

The inaugural Culinary Arts Job Training Program begins soon! You'll have the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business. Learn more about these industry experts:

Chef Jeffory McLean

Chef Jeffory is a 2nd generation chef with a career that spans four decades. He honed his craft while working throughout the Southern Tier of New York, then spent a decade traveling up and down the east coast as the Pit Master for a competition barbecue team. After returning to the Finger Lakes region to raise his family, Chef Jeffory focused his years of experience to become a Culinary Instructor and Personal Chef. Chef Jeffory has taught over 3,000 culinary classes to the public and has trained over 1,000 Industry Professionals.



Pastry Chef Laura McLean

Chef Laura McLean has been preparing baked goods and pastries for family and friends for decades. Her "adaptive technique is a merger of modern technology and classic pastry method. She has a strong passion to pursue the perfect cheesecake and, after appearing in multiple nationally televised segments on Today and Paula Deen, Pastry Chef McLean turned her focus to introducing the public to her unique baking methodology at a culinary facility in the Finger Lakes Region.



Chef Chris Sherry

Chef Chris Sherry is a graduate of the WEMOCO Food Service program and the Culinary Institute of America. Chef Sherry has held every position in the industry including Executive Chef at multiple establishments and Chef d'Cuisine at a James Beard awarded restaurant. After an extensive career that is highlighted with multiple reviews in national industry and gourmet publications, Chef Sherry is eager to share his wealth of knowledge and give back to the community that has provided him with a life-long career.
