Inspiration comes caroling

Students and special BOCES 2 guests listen to the music

It’s not Christmas without Christmas carols and voices raised in happiness and joy. On Dec. 10, BOCES 2 students at Churchville-Chili Middle School welcomed an inspiring group of carolers – the Roberts Wesleyan College Men’s Chorus. Planned by 6:1:1 teacher Rob Coatsworth, the performance was exceptional both for the music and for the good will shared.

The red-jacketed vocalists, led by conductor Doug Porterfield, sang many holiday favorites. They then took time to connect with the younger students. They answered questions and told stories about personal challenges they had faced in their lives. They spoke about their experiences at college and things they like to do for fun. Young and old, the students socialized and laughed over donuts and snacks. It was a great way to celebrate the season!
