2021 Community Champion for Public Education Award nominees

Small Business Week logo

During National Small Business Week (May 3-7), Act for Education honors local businesses who support our students. Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES has nominated four of our valued partners for this award: BBT Construction, Micro Instruments, Meals on Wheels, and The Gardens at Town Center. Please join us in saying "Thank You!"

Our programs could not be successful without the support of businesses like these. We're proud to partner with them, and with our many other industry friends who give our students invaluable opportunities to learn and to gain real-world experience throughout the year.

Act for Education will host a webcast on Thursday, May 6 at noon celebrating the area's business and community partnerships. Panelists include: Jo Anne Antonacci (Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES); Patty Leva (Junior Achievement), Supt. Chris Dailey (Gates Chili); Econ teacher Jim Marco (Gates Chili); Dionna Parina (Senior at Gates Chili); Supt. Dr. Aaron Johnson (West Irondequoit); Director of 7-12 Instruction Karen Finter (West Irondequoit); and Tarah Haley (Junior at West Irondequoit). To view the webcast, to go https://actforeducation.org/
