CWD Launches Culinary Arts Job Training Course

If you’re interested in a career in the culinary world but you need a flexible program to do so, the Center for Workforce Development has the perfect program for you!

New this fall, CWD is launching a Culinary Arts job training program for adults hoping to make the jump into this rewarding field or trying to hone their skills to climb the ladder. The new 13-week evening program provides a hybrid learning model that blends high impact learning in state-of-the-art industrial grade kitchens on campus, with at-home cooking assignments that can be completed in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Like CWD’s previous standalone culinary courses, the Culinary Arts Program is taught by outstanding chefs who are also incredible teachers.

You’ll learn: kitchen safety and sanitation; traditional knife skills; methods of preparation; menu creation and cost; professionalism; and employment preparation (resumes and job search support.)

Classes are held Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., with an additional 4-hours of at-home cooking assignments (all food provided.) At the conclusion of the 13 weeks, you’ll have an opportunity to pursue employment with selected industry leaders in the region.

Tuition for the program is $2,700, which includes a uniform and knife kit.
