Green Card Youth Voices: Immigration Stories from UpState New York" is a unique collection of personal essays written by students from Rochester and Buffalo New York. Coming from different countries, these youth share stories of family, school, change, and dreams. The broad range of experiences and the honesty with which these young people tell their stories is captured here with inspiring clarity. Join us for this State wide book club to build empathy and awareness for the English learner population. This is a hybrid course featuring online discussions and culminating in a panel discussion with student authors the evening of April 28, 2021.
