Participants will explore this very concise resource to help answer some of the biggest questions about remote or digitally based instruction:
How do I build and nurture relationships with students and their at-home caregivers from afar?
How do I adapt my best teaching to an online setting?
How do I keep a focus on students and their needs when they aren't in front of me?
Through independent reading, online discussions, and related activities, this group will look at these questions through the lens of working with English Language Learners.
Please note that all of the components of this opportunity will be completed on your own but there will be one live zoom meeting to wrap up the book, date determined by participant availability. Participants will need to purchase their own copy of the book which is available through amazon or the Heinemann website for under $30.
The book study will run from January 4th - February 12th and follow a weekly reading and discussion schedule.
