Description:
This session focuses on how educators can address refugee issues, inside and outside the classroom. It also describes steps that school districts can take to ensure that immigrant families are included in their children's education, and highlights students' suggestions of ways that teachers can improve their schooling experiences. This series of workshops is based on a four-part video series and resource guide that provide information and illustrate successful practices in order to support educators in creating safe and welcoming environments for immigrant students and families.
