RBERN Scholarship Opportunity for Online Professional Learning from SupportEd- Winter 2020 Session: January 21–March 6, 2020
Mid-West RBERN is teaming up with SupportEd to offer the following online courses to educators in our region:
- Strategies for Building ELs’ Academic Language
- Effectively Reaching Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education

Our interactive online courses are developed by a team of experts at SupportEd and provide guidance in using research-based strategies for supporting the academic achievement and language development of ELs. Each course allows teachers and administrators to learn at their own pace while improving classroom practice and support of ELs. Each course participant becomes part of an online professional learning community (PLC), as each course provides an opportunity for dialogue and collaboration with other participants and the SupportEd team. All courses provide a certificate for 10 hours of professional development upon completion.
*Scholarship recipients will commit to share their learning in a turnkey training before September, 2020. Some options for turnkey training could be: presenting at a regional conference (ex. August Teacher Summit); presenting at a district department meeting; creating a resource to share in the region; publishing an article or video. Participants will receive an additional 2 hours of CTLE credit for turnkey training.
