Description:
reating a welcoming environment from the very start is imperative to the academic success of students and building partnerships with families of English Language learners. This begins from the day that families step onto your campus to register new students. Participants will learn about the process of identifying students as English language learners including considerations such as program placement, SIFE designation, language proficiency teams, and exiting the program. This two hour workshop is intended for anyone involved with the identification and welcoming of ELLs including school administrators, administrative support professionals, and teachers.
