This PD will focus on resources and methods to get your students writing more. Participants will try out some creative writing methods to share with their students. We will discuss needs and struggles of ENL students as well as ideas for how to help move them forward in their writing. We will also discuss how the writing craft can be woven into listening and speaking activities.
Online ZOOM meetings synchronous - two sessions. Participants must attend both sessions
Session 1: Jan 31 4:00 - 5:30
Session 2: March 28 4:00 - 5:00
First session will be to learn about methods and best practices in writing. Then participants can plan for how to teach creative writing with your students.
Second session will be to return and share about how implementation went with your students, get feedback, and hear from others.
