Westside Academy Graduation
Westside Academy held an appropriately socially distanced graduation event outside their building earlier this week. Teachers, staff and families celebrated the graduation of four seniors: Geoffrey Louis, Jesse Turner, Emily White (all from Gates Chili) and Devan Wagner (from Wheatland Chili). Proud families took pictures and video, and cheered on their students from cars parked in the traffic circle. Each student was honored with personal remembrances from their teachers and walked up to receive their diplomas. Caps were thrown in the air, following tradition. The venue was unusual, but the joy, tears and pride were the same as every year. Congratulations, Westside Academy Class of 2020!
