Knowing our students and their stories is the first step in providing an equitable education for English Language Learners. Research shows us time and again that empathy is the gateway to breaking down the barriers that prevent ELLs from being fully included in school communities. All book club sessions will be a combination of Schoology work and 1 ZOOM discussion. Schoology codes will be sent prior to the start of the session. Books are to be purchased on your own. Session 5 will run May 1 2021- June 14 2021 and we will read and discuss "The Good Immigrant" by Javier Nikesha Shulka & Chimene Suleyman.
