This professional development opportunity will provide a firsthand account of the immigrant journey from a high school newcomer turned high school ESL teacher. Emily Francis travels from Guatemala to the US as a teen and shares about her experiences in her Stories Matter podcasts. Participants will get five hours of CTLE PD credit for this course by listening to podcasts and engaging in discussions online. The course will be completely asynchronous with discussions and reflection work happening at your own pace on Schoology from July 20 - August 10. We will not meet synchronously. All work will be done online and completed by August 10th.
