What is the difference between translation and interpretation? What do schools need to keep in mind as they are looking to improve communication with multilingual families? In this course, participants will learn how to discern what is and isn't necessary when it comes to helping students and families who speak other languages understand what is being taught in the classroom and discuss best practices for communication with families. Through the exploration of accurate programs and knowing when it is appropriate to use them, participants will leave with ideas for culturally responsive and effective communication.
