JEFFREY J. GERBER is the Senior School Investigator at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES and has been part of the School Investigator Service since 2013. The Investigator Service is encompassed within the Labor Relations Service and has a staff of 13 investigators along with support personnel. The mission of this group is to provide school districts with professional, experienced, investigative personnel for whatever need arises.
Prior to coming to BOCES, Jeff was employed by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and held the ranks of Deputy, Investigator and Investigator Sergeant. He spent 17 of his 23 years with Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in the Criminal Investigations Section and worked all assignments, from the Drug Task Force to the Major Crimes Unit, where he spent approximately 10 years. In addition, Jeff served as a certified counselor relative to acute traumatic stress management. Since retiring from police service, Jeff became co-owner of a private investigations company.
