Carnegie Corporation of New York makes grants to promote international peace and to advance education and knowledge — primary concerns to which Andrew Carnegie devoted the Corporation.

One of these areas is Education - our goal is more and better opportunities for American students in K-12 to learn the skills they need to compete in a global economy. American public education prepares all students with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions they need to be active participants in a robust democracy and to be successful in the global economy.
