As building leaders of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), you have the unique and challenging role of meeting district mandates, supporting staff, and maintaining relationships with families, all while taking the best interest of your students into account. This is challenging enough in "normal” times but is exponentially more difficult as you navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and the current racial justice movement. This interactive two-part Institute will include strategies you can use with your staff and families as well as provide tangible strategies to take back to teachers in how to support of SEL in virtual and in-person learning models. Leaders will be broken into grade-level breakout groups to facilitate relevant conversation and learning.
