2021 Stroll for Strong Kids

A big thank you to the CTE students on our BOCES 2 Team who are supporting the community at this year's Stroll for Strong Kids. Click on the video above to see some of our student representatives from SkillsUSA and National Technical Honor Society who were featured on Good Day Rochester.

WEMOCO student members of SkillsUSA and National Technical Honor Society visited Golisano Children's Hospital to share details about the school-wide Stroll for Strong Kids, coming up on June 1. They appeared on 13 WHAM ABC with reporter Michael Schwartz and spoke with hospital representatives Meghan Barnhardt and Jennifer Johnson. Each of the students had connections to the hospital, either as former patients or by knowing relatives and friends who were patients.

Homework Hotline

Several WEMOCO programs were featured on episodes of WXXI's Homework Hotline television program, a show that was broadcast throughout New York state. According to CTE Executive Principal Jill Slavny, “Homework Hotline allowed viewers to have a glimpse inside our classrooms and to learn about the opportunities our students have when they leave WEMOCO.” Click on the links below to see each of the featured programs.
