District Data Coordinators oversee the coordination and reporting of data to the State through the Student Information Repository System (SIRS). It is important accurate and complete data are reported as it may impact State and federal funding streams, school accountability designations under ESSA, and State School Report Card data.
MAARS provides guidance and support to districts, charter schools, BOCES and non-public schools with State reporting of student and staff data in the SIRS. We manage the loading of data to Level 1, provide quarterly District Data Coordinators Meetings, and offer workshops throughout the year to help DDCs establish best practices for data quality and accuracy.
