Students will explore opportunities in the field of criminal justice while learning about the history of law enforcement, civil and criminal law and our legal system. Course content includes an in-depth look at police work, court cases and outcomes. The program focuses on law enforcement at the local, state and federal levels, as well as the fields of security and corrections.

Tim Steves 
Tim Steves is a retired road patrol Sergeant with over 29 years of law enforcement/ security experience and training. He is a certified instructor for the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services as well as a certified private investigator. He currently owns a company providing training to security guards, retired law enforcement and civilians. Tim joined WEMOCO Career and Technical Education Center as the criminal justice teacher in 2018.
