Need Help Preparing for the Permit Test?

CWD is proud to offer a fully online, self-paced course to help you prepare for the CDL permit for the low cost of $50. 

Prepare at your own pace to successfully take the CDL permit exam! This is a 6-hour self-study online course, with additional practice tests and review available. Content includes direct instruction, video, and other interactive elements to engage learners in the material. This course is applicable to those seeking their CDL Class A or Class B.

If you then enroll in the Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B Driving License program, the $50 deposit will be deducted from the cost of the program.

Study Manual: Applicants may pick up a free CDL permit manual at our admissions office or access the digital version here
The sections to study in the Commercial Driver Manual are as follows:
•    General Knowledge: Sections 1, 2, 3*
Sections 6-9 (combos, doubles/triples, tankers, and hazardous materials) will also be included under general knowledge. Students should be prepared to answer a few questions from these sections.
•     Air Brake: Section 5
•     Antilock Brake Systems: Section 6.3
•     Passenger Transport: Section 4
•     School Bus: Section 10

Free apps: There are also several free apps that may help you study and practice. Search for "DMV" and "CDL" on your app store.  

Practice Tests: Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B practice tests can also be found here.  This site is free for all users, upgrading to the premium paid version is not required or necessary to review or practice sample questions.
