Our Programs

The Center for Workforce Development (CWD) at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES provides industry-aligned educational solutions to prepare you for the 21st century workforce. CWD provides quality, cost-effective educational and workforce services in partnership with other higher educational agencies, the local workforce community, and the adult learners we serve in a manner that supports excellence and equity for all learners.

Our career and technical education programs are affordable, short-term and convenient for the adult learner.
In addition, CWD offers free academic classes for individuals seeking to earn their high school equivalency diploma and free English classes for speakers of other languages.

Career Training Registration Begins April 23

Registration for CWD's career training programs opens on April 23. These programs provide affordable, short-term education in fields like healthcare, skilled trades, and manufacturing, helping adult learners gain industry-specific skills for employment. Entrance assessments will resume on the same day.

Beyond the Desk: Students attend first TradeUP event

On Tuesday, April 1, the Center for Workforce Development (CWD) held its first TradeUP event. This event is an exciting opportunity for high school seniors curious about careers in the skilled trades. Students heard from a panel of seven industry experts in construction, manufacturing, and healthcare, who shared why the trades are a valuable and rewarding career path.
