English Language Learning

  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)– We offer FREE programs designed for individuals 18 and older, who were born outside of the United States and need instruction in the English language. Daytime and evening classroom instruction is offered. There are also distance learning options for those who qualify and cannot attend class. Most classes are held at our Main Campus location, at 3555 Buffalo Road in Gates, 14624.
    • Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    • Monday – Thursday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
    • Monday – Thursday, 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

  • Citizenship – Prepare for the US Citizenship exam in one of our ESOL classes. You can learn U.S. history and government to prepare for the naturalization test to become a U.S. citizen.
     
  • ESOL Distance Education – Learn English at home!  Students work at home to watch videos, practice language skills and complete instructional materials. Students can also attend ESOL classes up to 3 hours per week for additional tutoring and support.

  • Integrated Career Education – We offer career & technical programs with support for English language learners for students who are interested in programs such as Nursing Assistant and Commercial Driver's License - Class B. Tuition assistance available for qualified individuals.

How Do I Start?
All students must begin with an ESOL Literacy Orientation, which includes completing enrollment forms and a language assessment. Call 585-349-9155 or complete an information request form and someone will contact you to schedule an Orientation.
