Educators play a critical role in preparing students for careers that meet workforce demands. The Regional ACT Work Ready Communities Educator Summit offers K-12 and post-secondary educators an opportunity to explore how skills-based credentialing can bridge the gap between education and employment, helping students build meaningful career pathways.
Hosted by the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Center for Workforce Development, this free, full-day event takes place on Thursday, April 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Professional Development Center in Spencerport. Through expert-led sessions and collaborative discussions, participants will gain insights into the WorkKeys Assessments and the National Career Readiness Certificate, which provide students with recognized credentials that demonstrate essential workplace skills.
Attendees will connect with fellow educators, administrators and workforce professionals to share strategies for integrating career readiness into educational programs. By strengthening the link between education and industry needs, schools can play a key role in developing a skilled workforce that supports regional economic growth.
