Not every career starts behind a desk. For many students, the best path forward is hands-on—creating, building and helping in careers out in the world, not in an office. TradeUP is an event designed to help high school seniors explore opportunities in the skilled trades and discover training programs that lead to high-demand, well-paying careers in fields like construction, manufacturing and healthcare.

Hosted by the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Center for Workforce Development (CWD), TradeUP will take place on Tuesday, April 1 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the WEMOCO Career and Technical Education Center in Spencerport. Families will hear from industry experts about the value of skilled trades, tour in-session CWD adult career training programs and learn about low- to no-cost training options that provide a direct path to the workforce.

TradeUP is free and open to high school seniors and their families. Registration is required by Friday, March 21 and is available at www.monroe2boces.org/tradeup.
