CWD Congratulates the REJob Class of 2023

REJob class of 2023

On Monday, Mar. 20, the Rochester Environmental Job Training Program (REJob 3.0) held its graduation ceremony at the Rochester City Council Chambers to recognize the 26 class of 2023 graduates. This is the seventh consecutive year of the program, and the first year the City of Rochester has partnered with BOCES 2 Center for Workforce Development. A total of 148 individuals have completed the program since its inception.

The eight-week, cost-free training program provides Rochester-area citizens with the skills necessary to obtain rewarding careers in the field of environmental remediation.

The program is made possible from the Brownfields Job Training Grant awarded to the City of Rochester by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  Additional partners include LaBella Associates and Cornerstone Training Institute

Graduates heard remarks from:

- Lisa F. Garcia and Schenine Mitchell of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency.
- Darren Yehl and Lynn Burlingham of Cornerstone Training Institute
- Ray Marks, Shawna Gareau-Kurtz and Tom Schulte of Monroe 2 Orleans BOCES
