Providing equitable education for ALL requires a shared sense of responsibility and full inclusion in school communities.  This goal cannot be achieved without teacher, parent, and community advocates giving a voice to our ELL, SWD, and LGBTQIA students.  Please join us for Creating Connections, Empowering Students: An Advocacy Summit where our goal is to provide meaningful resources to help you in your role as an advocate.  All teachers, administrators, and school staff are welcome to attend.

The Advocacy Summit is being held on Saturday, March 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Nazareth College.  Khin Mai Aung, Director of English Language Learner Civil Rights and Policy at the New York State Education Department, will be the keynote speaker.  Student and parent panel discussions and breakout sessions will address the needs and perspectives of our diverse student populations.

Registration is $30 and includes lunch.  Please register on My Learning Plan:  https://www.mylearningplan.com/WebReg/ActivityProfile.asp?D=18636&I=2671130

This event is sponsored by Mid-West RBERN of Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES in partnership with Nazareth College.
